The pre-boot image can also be set up on a USB flash drive, creating a bootable USB drive that can be an alternative to writing the pre-boot image to a drive’s shadow MBR. This is included as part of initial setup, and is also a separate standalone operation. Select the drive you want the USB to be set up to unlock and proceed with setting up the USB. To unlock the drive with the bootable USB, boot into the USB on startup, and proceed with unlocking drives just like if the pre-boot image is on the shadow MBR of a locked drive. In initial setup, the set up password is saved on the bootable USB and can be used for authentication. If running the standalone operation, the TCG drive that was selected in the main window when setting up the USB must be present in the system when booting into the USB in order for the bootable USB to be verified and usable. NOTE: For premium versions, if setting up multiple drives in initial setup, the first selected drive must be present for the bootable USB to be verified in the pre-boot environment.
